When Orlando was selected to host the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl, the pressure was on local leaders to make the event a success. With less than 60 days to kick-off, and 35,000 tickets remaining, Moxē was called on to quarterback local marketing efforts with the City of Orlando, NFL, and Florida Citrus Sports. Based on the results, the NFL chose to come back to Orlando in 2018 and Moxē was there to pick up the ball and run with it again.
With little time to waste before game day, we developed an integrated marketing plan that could be swiftly and efficiently launched and executed. The plan included a mass 30 day media advertising push, social media influencers, and aggressive media outreach to help get ready Central Florida for an exciting week of NFL activities.
Our work resulted in more than 35,000 tickets sold in a little more than a month, a week of excitement throughout Central Florida, and a national television audience of 7.4 million viewers tuning into a sold out Camping World Stadium. 2019 saw the NFL Pro Bowl return to Orlando for its third consecutive year.
