GEC Logo Design
For its 30th anniversary, Geotechnical and Environmental Consultants, Inc., a Central Florida-based engineering firm, (GEC) decided to celebrate with a brand refresh.
Like many successful companies that have been around as long, its original logo was fond and familiar to their clients and peers. The agency recommended that, rather than abandoning the brand equity the company had earned over three decades, a better approach would be to evolve the look, modifying identifiable elements and updating the rest. The company was already in deep with another creative agency but expressed frustration that the logo options they saw failed to embody the spirit of the brand and accurately reflect the brand personality the company wanted to kick off its next 30 years in business.
GEC’s Original Logo
Moxē started by asking GEC a lot of questions. We walked them through a brand positioning exercise to really understand their unique differentiators in the marketplace, what their clients valued most and what the competition failed to address. We listened carefully and then got to work on a few different directions that felt right.
After a couple of rounds of designs, GEC narrowed it down to two logos with a split vote amongst the decision-makers. But, as they say, there can be only one, and we really love the logo they chose.
“As part of our 30-year company anniversary, GEC teamed with Moxē to bring a new look to our website, logo, and business cards. We could not have been more satisfied with the performance of Noah Sigman and the Moxe team. They kept our design on schedule with a well-thought-out design process and creative takes on our aging brand. We could not have asked for a more accommodating and supportive team and look forward to using your team in the future!”
